Mike Ponstein, co-owner of Minnesota Cabinets is an experienced designer
with a well-developed design philosophy. He believes that the most important
step in any design is to listen to the client. He wants the design to truly
reflect what the client is asking to achieve. Mike's accomplishments include:
Joel Oolman, co-owner, has been with Minnesota Cabinets since 2002. Joel's entire career has been in retail and customer service. Joe's clients have fun and enjoy the entire process. Creating a space that clients will enjoy for years to come brings Joel great satisfaction.

Diane Halgerson is a Design Consultant and CAD technician. Her design philosophy is to create a floor plan that is functional, meets the clients' needs and shows their personal style.

Linda Hermon,
Designer
Graduated with a bachelors of fine
arts degree in Interior Design from Iowa State University. She has been in
the kitchen and bath business for 14 years. Her interior design training
combined with a strong technical background in CAD and drafting helps her
achieve the perfect balance of function and creativity that leads to turning
the clients dreams and visions into reality.
Rick Ponstein,
Manager
Graduated with a bachelors degree
in Marketing from the University of Mary in Bismarck, North Dakota. His
father, Mike Ponstein, started Minnesota Cabinets in 1990 which began Rick’s
love for anything and everything to do with design and construction. After
spending a few years managing and training sales and finance departments an
opportunity arose to join Minnesota Cabinets and bring the firm to Iowa, an
opportunity that he jumped at. With his love of the industry and dedication
to serving others Rick is happy to say he is a part of Minnesota Cabinets.
Nic Barrick, CAD Tec
Nic attended Des Moines Area
Community College where he received an Associated Applied Science Degree in
CAD Technology. For the past 9 years he has translated floor plans into 3-D
perspectives, which help clients gather a greater idea for design concepts.
Nic has seen several different areas of the cabinet industry not only as a
CAD Tech, but also as a regional Rep. for a national cabinet line. With his
strong designs skills and knowledge of cabinet industry Nic is able to help
customers visualize and understand the design process from start to finish.
Peggy Triggs, Certified Kitchen
Designer
Peggy has specialized in the
kitchen and bath industry for the past 27 years. She received her degree in
interior design from South Dakota State University. Her passion and
attention to detail has earned her a solid reputation for quality and unique
designs. Peggy strives to achieve a creative design that not only brings
together beautiful form with practical function but one that exceeds the
client’s expectations.
